Waddinxveen: Greenhouse and Nursery Town in the South Holland Polder
Waddinxveen has roughly 25,340 residents and lies in South Holland between Gouda and Boskoop. Greenhouse horticulture and tree nurseries dominate the local economy, with the neighbouring Boskoop area internationally known for ornamental plant cultivation. Gouda is about 5 kilometres east. Boskoop lies directly north. Alphen aan den Rijn is roughly 10 kilometres northwest.
